Fenton Lions Club Scholarships

FENTON LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIPS

On behalf of the Fenton Lions Club, I am delighted to congratulate graduated seniors:  Michaela Wilson and Margaret Pooler of Fenton High School and Karlie Dieck and Deanna Patrosso of Lake Fenton High School.  All four students received a $1,000 scholarship from the Fenton Lions Club.  Criteria to receive a scholarship include academic achievement, citizenship, and high school and community activities.

The purpose of the Fenton Lions Club is to create and foster a spirit of “Generous Consideration” among the people of Fenton, to promote the practice of the principles of good citizenship, and to take an active interest in the civic, social, and moral welfare of the community.

Our programs include donating to the Leader Dog School in Rochester, MI, helping people with diabetes, and purchasing eyeglasses, and distributing white canes.  Fenton Lions also support the boy scout troop 212, Habitat for Humanity, and the July 4th Freedom Festival, as well as the Salvation Army.

We thank the scholarship committee members for their hard work in choosing the recipients.  The award ceremony to present the scholarships was meaningful and sincere. Contact Dave Windsor at dewindsor@charter.net for more information on the Lions Club.
