Fenton Youth Baseball Team Hosting Easter Egg Hunt
A local youth sports team is taking a break from fielding baseballs and trying their hand at fielding eggs. This Saturday, March 24th at 12:00 noon the 11 boys from the Fenton Crush Travel Baseball team are hosting an Easter Egg hunt for their younger siblings, friends, family, sponsors and a group of community children.
“In a few weeks our game play begins and we wanted to take a break and have some fun” said Head Coach Mike Gross. “Once the season is in full swing free time becomes scarce, not only for our players, but for their younger brothers and sisters. Setting aside one day where the attention is on them, our biggest fans, just feels right.”
The team has filled over 3,000 plastic eggs with candy and surprises and has a hunch the Easter Bunny himself will be making an appearance. The players will be hiding the eggs on the baseball fields at AGS in Fenton and then helping their invited guests hunt for them.
“It’s part of our continuing theme to teach the boys to work together as a team” said Coach Chris MacIntosh. “Sportsmanship is a good life lesson both on and off the field.”
