1. Weather

The National Weather Service's forecast for today is morning frost with a high of 65 degrees. Tonight's forecast is partly cloudy with a low of 40.

2. Filling the Tank

The lowest gas price in Fenton Thursday afternoon was $3.82 per gallon, according to MichiganGasPrices.com. The station offering this price was Fenton Marathon, 402 Silver Lake Rd. The second-lowest price per gallon was $3.85, at Clark, 436 N. Leroy St. in Fenton.

3. News

Absentee ballots are available at voters’ city or township office. In addition, the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election is by 5 p.m. on Oct. 9, the Fenton city clerk says. Those who live in the city of Fenton can register at Fenton City Hall, 301 S. Leroy St., or at a branch office of the Secretary of State.

4. Events

Senior Friday will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today, at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center. Seniors can meet new friends while participating in bingo ($1), bunco ($1), line dancing with Ann ($2), Wii bowling, crafts and euchre. Reservations can be made for lunch ($4) by calling (810) 714-2011.

5. Looking Ahead

Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation’s Man to Man Sale will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, in the Fenton Community & Cultural Center parking lot, 150 S. Leroy St. in Fenton, rain or shine. Buyers and sellers are welcome, and space is limited.
