1. Weather

The National Weather Service is forecasting isolated showers and thunderstorms before noon, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 95.

Tonight, there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.

2. Gas

The least expensive gas in town can be found at Mobil on North Leroy Street for $3.46 a gallon, according to michigangasprices.com.

3. News

Fenton Area Public Schools will place the seven year renewal of the
Building and Site Sinking Fund millage on the August 7, 2012 ballot. This is
a renewal of the .9362 millage used to maintain the school facilities
throughout the entire school district.

4. Events

Kids' Nite at the Laundry, Today, 5:00 pm The French Laundry, 125 W Shiawassee Avenue. Features half off the Kids' Stuff menu from 5-8 p.m as Jester performs magic and card tricks; he also makes balloon figures and animals for the kids.

5. Looking ahead

The Taste in Fenton will take place at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center from noon until 8 p.m. Aug 11. Taste in Fenton is a community event where local restaurants bring their food so the community can sample a taste with live music, kids entertainment and more.
