Bubble Man is a Bursting Success with Fenton Children

More than 200 children come out for show at Jack R. Winegarden Library.

Never underestimate the power of bubbles.

Bubble Man Ron Loyd visited the Jack R. Winegarden Library Wednesday to show off his bubble skills and tricks.

Around 165 children attended the first show, forcing an encore showing so another 75 children could get a glimpse of the bubble magic.

Loyd put bubbles inside of bubbles, created a square bubble and even created a bubble tornado with a special vapor that looked like smoke.

When Loyd isn't performing as the bubble man, he is the director of the Northfield Township Area Library in Whitmore Lake.

"I used to love to take baths as a kid because I would blow bubbles," he told the crowd.

Loyd encouraged children to, "please try this at home."

He said a good solution is made up of 10 cups of water, two cups of Dawn dish soap, and a half a cup of glycerin.

"I liked when he made the caterpillar," Emily Smith, 8, of Fenton said. "We are going to ask our parents if we can try it."
