Cooling Center Opens at Fenton United Methodist Church, Concert Moves Inside
Heat wave affects Fenton area residents.
It's hot out there.
The Fenton United Methodist Church is opening its facility at 119 S. Leroy St. in Fenton as a cooling center for the public if they need to escape from the extreme heat conditions, the City of Fenton website reports.
In addition, Fenton's Concert in the Park for tonight, which will be by Cal Roberts, formerly of The Platters, will be in the Fenton Community and Cultural Center instead of outdoors at the Fenton Gazebo. The change is due to the extreme heat, city officials announced. The free concert will still begin at 7 p.m., in the community center at 150 S. Leroy St., Fenton.
