Crime Report: Teenagers Arrested on Charges of Retail Fraud

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police arrested two teenage males on charges of retail fraud Wednesday in Fenton.

employees had told police two males exited the store with a pocket knife and Zippo lighter without paying for the items and gave a description of the suspects.

Chief Rick Aro said officers found the teenagers fitting the description walking near Owen Road and U.S. 23 around 3 p.m. The officer made contact with the teens, who admitted to the theft, Aro said.

They were taken to the Fenton Police Department, charged with retail fraud and released to their parents.

The two Fenton males, ages 13 and 15, were given notices to appear in court.
