Calling all artists!

The Fenton Downtown Development Authority is planning the second annual Fenton Art Walk for July 14 is on the lookout for some talented and creative individuals.

Every kind of talented artisan is an ideal participant. Art will go through a review process to ensure fine art integrity. If artist has fine art to display and sell, they are asked to submit two to three color photos per medium (with a maximum of 3 mediums) in jpg, tif, or pdf to: Fenton@newmoonvisions.net for review. 

The deadline is May 21. Participation is free for artists. Those who are selected will display their work inside participating downtown businesses. They will need to be set up and ready to sell by 9:45 am and remain with their display or provide a representative in their place until 6:00 pm July 14.

The event will be held in conjuction with The French Laundry’s 2012 Bastille Day 5K Run/Walk and 15K Run, July 14, which runs from 7:45 am. until 10 a.m. The Fenton Artwalk will run 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and will be located in Downtown Fenton, at Leroy, from Shiawassee to the Fenton Hotel.

“Last year’s event was such a success,” DDA Chairman Craig Schmidt. “We’re looking forward to Art Walk and the community gathering downtown to see some beautiful art.”
