Fenton DDA Approves $50,000 Streetscape Public Relations Plan
Budget reduced from $126,000 after receiving criticism earlier this year.
So the Fenton Downtown Development Authority trimmed that number not to exceed $50,000 and approved the plan at Tuesday's meeting. The new budget calls for $30,400 for New Moon Vision's services and $19,500 for media buys.
New Moon Visions, of Milford, the city’s marketing consultant, will be paid to assist with communication and events surrounding the Streetscape project, creating a consistent streetscape theme, through Fentonbecloser.com, social media and designing signs -- separate from standard constrution signs -- to help businesses get customers in the door. New Moon Visions will perform door-to-door merchant surveys, so businesses’ special needs can be considered during construction.
"We will be accessible for any questions they have," said Sharman Lamka, who will be handling the project for New Moon Visions and the Fenton Be Closer campaign.
New Moon Visions is also expected to develop, organize and coordinate two new events to encourage shopping and dining in the construction zone.
