Fenton and Lake Fenton schools closed Monday because of weather and road conditions.

It's the fourth snow day for each school this year.

Fenton Area Public Schools posted on its Facebook Page that "all of the district dirt roads that our buses travel on are covered with ice and too dangerous to drive."

All Fenton Area Public Schools evening events scheduled for 2 p.m. or later will take place as scheduled today.

The National Weather Service is calling for scattered rain showers before 9 a.m., then snow showers after. The temperature is expected to drop to 32 by 5 p.m. Winds will increase in the afternoon to 25 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 46.
