Fenton Police Searching for Suspects in String of Thefts from Vehicles

A total of seven larcenies were reported near the Andover Woods subdivision on Monday.

Fenton Police are investigating a string of thefts from vehicles that occurred during the early morning hours of June 11.

Lt. Jason Slater said around seven larcenies were reported from the Andover Woods, 3rd Street and Carriage Hill areas in which car windows were broken and GPS systems, purses and laptop computers were taken.

Slater said one homeowner reported seeing individuals wearing all black and acting suspicious near the 200 block of Andover Woods, but said the individuals ran from the home and police could not locate them.

Police did find three abandoned bikes in the area, but Slater said he was unsure if they were stolen. Another bike was reported stolen from the 500 block of North Walnut on the same day.

“It just seems suspicious,” Slater said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Fenton Police Department at 810-629-5311.

“We are asking that even if people lock their cars, not to leave valuable in plain sight,” Slater said.
