1. Weather

The National Weather Service's forecast for today is mostly sunny with a high of 71 degrees. Tonight's forecast is mostly clear with a low of 49.


2. Filling the Tank

The lowest gas prices in Fenton on Thursday night were $3.87 per gallon, according to Mapquest Gas Prices. The station offering this price was Fenton Marathon, 402 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.

3. News

Brighton Township resident Bruce Schneider tells Brighton Patch about the 1987 crash of Northwest Flight 255 at Detroit-Metro Airport. A sergeant for the Wayne County Sheriff's Department at the time, Schneider responded to the tragedy, which killed 156 people and left one survivor -- a 4-year-old girl.


4. Events

Knights of Columbus Bingo is from 6:30-9 p.m. today, in the St. John Knights Hall at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School. The free event is at 514 Lincoln Street in Fenton.


5. Looking Ahead

The last two days of the Genesee County Fair are Saturday and Sunday. The fun includes carnival rides, 4-H winners, animals, games, food and more -- and it's all at 2188 W. Mt. Morris Rd. in Mt. Morris.
