The Tyrone Township Planning Commission didn't endorse controversial zoning ordinance changes sought by the new owners of a Parshallville-area mobile home park, but approved several recommendations if the Township Board OKs the proposal, according to a WHMI-FM (93.5) report.

Cider Mill Crossings was recently purchased at a tax-foreclosure sale by Sun Communities, which is now seeking to amend previous agreements regarding what's allowed it says is necessary to make the development profitable. The changes include allowing pre-owned manufactured homes to be installed 15 years or newer and single-section manufactured homes, according to a post about the proposal at Parshaville.com. The planning commission add-ons include making sure the developer maintains infrastructure such as roads and sidewalks, the radio report said about the Nov. 29 meeting.
