Loud Father and Son Argument Leads to Marijuana Charges
The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Fenton Police ticketed a 17-year-old Fenton resident for possession of marijuana after police were called to investigate a loud noise complaint in an apartment at 12:40 a.m. Feb. 5 on the 15000 block of Silver Parkway.
Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said a father and son had been in a heated argument. During the investigation, the report said the officer smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana. When asked about the smell, the 17-year-old admitted that he had recently smoke marijuana and showed police just more than a gram of the drug, Aro said.
Police ticketed the teenager for possession of marijuana and warned the residents about the noise complaint.
Attempted vehicle theft
Fenton Police received a complaint about an attempted vehicle theft and destruction of property from an employee of a dealership on the 2000 block of Owen Road.
Aro said officials showed police a Ford pickup truck in the rear parking lot that had the drivers side door lock broken and damage to the steering column.
Dealership employees also told police a similar truck in the same lot had been stolen days earlier.
Police have no suspects or evidence.
