I know a delightful little girl, who is almost 13 years old. She is kind of a tomboy and loves to play outside, whether it is riding bikes or just hanging out with a friend on the front porch. She is a little on the chubby side and wears glasses.
It hurts me to see some of the other girls her age make fun of her. These girls are dressing far too provocatively for their age, wearing makeup, and are already talking about boys.
What can parents do to convince their children that they don't need to grow up so fast and to not be intimidated by the kids who are?
