Fenton Police Searching for Tequila Thieves

Fenton police are searching for two suspects, a man and a woman, who might be involved with other thefts at the store on Silver Parkway, police say.

Fenton Police received a report of stolen tequila at VG’s Foods on Silver Parkway, when store personnel contacted police to make the report at 1 p.m. Friday. The incident actually occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, said Chief of Police Rick Aro.

Store employees told police they noticed three bottles of tequila missing on Friday and checked surveillance footage, Aro said. They discovered footage of a man and woman, both approximately 35 to 36 years old, entering the store Thursday, selecting bottles of liquor, going to another location in VG’s and concealing the liquor in their clothes, the police report said.

The two left the store without paying, Aro said. VG’s provided photos of the suspects, whom police are trying to identify. The woman, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 200 pounds with blond hair; and man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds, might be involved in other thefts at the location, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fenton Police Department at 810-629-5311.

Maybe it's time VG's put their booze behind the counter.

I was just in yesterday shopping and they were fitting at least one of the aisles with a lockable rolling screen.
