Searchers found the body of a missing man yesterday at 3 p.m., in the middle of Lake Fenton, said Fenton Township Fire Chief Ryan Volz. The Michigan State Police provided sonar equipment for the search, and the Genesee County Sheriff's dive team made the recovery.

Lt. Dave Dwyer, of the Genesee County Sheriff's Department, said they are not releasing the man's name at this point. The missing person was 25 years old and visiting Fenton Township from Flat Rock.

The man disappeared after diving into Lake Fenton, near the Fenton Township Hall, around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, previous police reports said. The search for him began that night and continued Thursday morning.
