Fenton Streetscape Project Set to Begin in April
Officials give presentation to Fenton Downtown Development Authority.
Downtown Fenton is a little closer to getting its makeover.
Officials from OHM, the city's engineering firm and Landscape Architecture Services gave a presentation on the updated plans for an estimated $4.54 million in streetscape and road improvements, planned to begin in spring 2013, from Elizabeth to Sixth Streets in Fenton. Road pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction make up an estimated $3.69 million of the work, with a projected $838,000 for the streetscape. Improvements will target Leroy Street and a number of other areas.
The base mapping is done from Silver Lake Road to Second Street, officials said. However, officials are still working on plans for other areas. One issue being addressed is changing the "confusing" north intersection at Silver Lake Road and North Leroy Street.
Construction is expected to start in April and be completed by November.

I would hope they would fix the aging sewer and water pipes first.
