Wow, it has been a long time since I have blogged here on Fenton Patch!
I am hosting my annual Pumpkin Workout for American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer on Saturday October 20, 2012.
It will be at 11:00 am. I am holding it outdoors in the parking lot at Anytime Fitness here in Fenton. The address is 1145 N.Leroy.
The construction is done! Woo Hoo! Just in time!!!
I hope to make this bigger and bigger each year.
We will begin with a warm up and a game. I am designing a small obstacle course using straw bales and pumpkins as well. It is gonna be a blast!
If you have any questions you can call me (810)265-5937
I am suggesting a $20 donation. This is the 20th anniversary of of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. It is only a suggested donation. If you can't afford a donation come out and support the cause anyway. You can wear pink in support or even a costume (just be sure it is comfortable to move around in). I will be sporting a pink wig and shirt!
I signed up on line for the convenience of people being able to donate on line or you can pay on Saturday.

I also have a page on my website about the pumpkin workout. Pumkin Workout
I hope to see you there.

I just wanted to add an update. According to Weather Bug there is a 50% chance for rain tomorrow and looking at the hourly breakdown there is a 41% chance of rain at 11:00 am. I am hoping for no rain because of the obstacle course I have designed for the occasion but if it does rain I will go with plan B which will be indoors with the pumpkins and no obstacle course.

Thank you for the unique workout class using pumpkins as weights and encouraging us to wear pink in show of support to the American Cancer Society's Strides Against Breast Cancer. We laughed, sweated and have a different look at pumpkins after this morning's Pumpkin Workout.
Shawn, Thank you for offering a forum which gave us the opportunity to support ACS, while at the same time a fun class to improve on our own health.
The rain didn't deter us from accomplishing what you set out to do. I never knew I could hold plank or do a puch up off a pumpkin and now I do because of what you taught us in class.
I already can't wait to dress up in my pink tu-tu for next year's Pumpkin Workout in show of support for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer!
