As I sit here with a great glass of sun tea I am thinking wow- August is NOT far away. Where has the time flown too? Then I laugh and realize everything packed into the few weeks of sunshine we have. Did you know we are one of the highest areas for MS and depression because of lack of sunshine, contamination? The list goes on..
That is a topic for another day. I wanted to share the enjoyment of holding a fresh newborn baby. One of our nearest and dearest friends let us share in the enjoyment of this little boy and it really made our days. Then we shared the company of another daughter with her 16-month-old and to watch such abounding energy and happiness just feels every crevice of your heart. Think of how they see things we take for granted. It is all new and needs investigating.Touch, feel, sound and the excitement in there eyes when sharing it with you. It was so fulfilling to have, Adian, our 16 month-old show me his sign language skills and wink at me during dinner or as he rushed off at Fratz Consignment to investigate the cabinets looking for "puppies." such a fulfilling day and unforgettable one. These are the days we cherish.
It has been a tough week with my aunt being hospitalized due to stroke and pneumonia, my parents little yorkie passing way from heart failure, and finding out some other terrible news that is so hurtful to many involved. But I charge ahead and listen, laugh and love. Remain positive because the ones remaining silent are only hurting themselves with there guilt.
I use to be one that took everything to heart but learned with some people it is there way of being cruel and intentionally turning things around to cause more problems. No one needs that. Go on with your life. True family and friends never leave you. The ones that do have a different path to lead and never blame yourselves for there actions.Remember karma is always around the corner.
Stop and smell the roses is a statement that says so much. Like the babies of this world. Enjoy everything and every moment. Really look and listen. So many people are not even aware of their surroundings anymore because they would rather be texting and look at the problems that is causing.
I have to tell you our trip to Breyerfest was so enlightening. Thousands of people and it become apparent that there are still actual people that do not live for there phone. Yes, many had them but unlike what I see here in my weekly travels they were not constantly talking, texting or having earphones in listening to music or watching videos. They were enjoying there surroundings, talking to one another and staying involved with what was around them.
Communication without electronics seems to be fading and the kids today are showing even more lack of basic social skills. What happened to please and thank you? Getting up to help someone? Respecting your elders?I can not completely blame a parent for this because once someone is out of the house they become what they want to be. As a parent you can only hope they take the right path in life and let them live it.
In closing I just want to say with my ramblings that spending time together is so worth it. These babies remind me to always look at my surroundings as they do, Fresh and new. Rude people remind me that I am not like them and look forward to my daily encounters and bringing smiles to others. People always blaming others and treating people with silence are doing this to hide there own guilt.
Smile, laugh and hug daily. Listen and be there when you are needed. Have time set aside if you just can not live without your electronics to set them aside and really enjoy conversation and doing tings together as a walk or board game. We have an open door policy and everyone knows there is no appointment necessary because we welcome you in our home. Life is too short as time is and you want great memories.
I'm headed out to a reception for another set of great people and its going to be a fun time enjoying conversations. Have a wonderful rest of summer and get out to a park, go swimming, visit your friends, or go on a short trip and have a picnic. Appreciate all you have and especially this beautiful weather that has followed the rain and storms. Even mother nature comes in loud and clear. Take care,D.
