On Wednesday, March 13th, the Fenton Film Series will present The Visitor.  Widowed professor Walter Vale (Richard Jenkins in an Oscar-nominated role) is alone and depressed after the death of his wife.  He finds himself drawn to a different rhythm when he discovers an immigrant couple squatting in his Manhattan flat and become wrapped up in their lives and their music.  Rated one of the best movies of the year by many critics, The Visitor helps us find ways to go on after suffering great loss.   The movie starts at 7:00 at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center and admission is free.

Now in its third year, the Fenton Film Series continues with its mission of showing free, high quality movies every month in downtown Fenton in the auditorium of the Fenton Community and Cultural Center. Built in 1937 and designed by world-renown architects Eliel and Eero Saaninen, the Fenton Community & Cultural Center is an artistic jewel in its own right.  The movies are presented free thanks to the generous donations from sponsors, including the Fenton Downtown Development Authority, Tanglewood Assisted Living & Home Care, financial advisor Patrick Perfitt, Behind Your Design, Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation, and Comfort Keepers.  Thanks to these additional sponsors, free refreshments will also be available, including sandwiches from Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, pastries and coffee from The Laundry and Crust, and homemade root beer from the Fenton Winery & Brewery.
