Learn About Bugs and More This Week Through the Genesee District Library

Here are four events scheduled through the Genesee District Library this week.

Looking for something fun to do? Check out these events this week from across the area.

Burrowing Bugs

When: August 20, 1:00 pm until August 20, 2:00 pm
What: Meet live bugs like millipedes, scorpions, and spiders, and learn about how invertebrates influence the world around you!  This program is funded by a generous donation from the Friends of the Flushing Library. Registration required.

Computer Basics Class

When: August 20, 7:00 pm until August 20, 8:00 pm
What: This class is for those who have never used a computer before.  It’s a two-part series; Aug. 20th & 27th, that covers the basic elements of a computer, creating and using an email account, and basic word processing. You must have a valid library card and PIN # to take this class. Space is limited, so reserve a spot by calling our hotline at (810) 230-3327.

Magna Workshop

When: August 22, 2:00 pm until August 22, 3:00 pm
What: Kids who love drawing, regardless of skill level, will love this chance to learn from published manga professional Mark Crilley. All supplies will be provided.

Nature Bus

When: August 24, 2:00 pm until August 24, 4:00 pm
What: Come aboard the Nature Bus to meet live birds of prey and play fun games while you learn about the animals! Registration required.
