Dominick's Warriors To Support Relay for Life

'Cancer affects all of us, and too many children are without Mothers due to this horrific disease,' member says.

This article is written by Denise Cline, of Dominick's Warriors.

Dominick’s Warriors is taking part in the Relay for Life this year. As child abuse advocates and strong members of our community, we feel it is imperative to take part in all aspects of raising awareness of all killers of children, not only child abuse. Cancer affects all of us and too many children are without Mothers due to this horrific disease.

One of our board members knows what it is like to lose her Mother to Breast Cancer. Renee Ungerleider lost her Mother Paulette Hart at the age of 38 to breast Cancer in 1990. Renee was only 17 and her sister was 12. In honor of Renee’s Hero we have formed Team Dominick’s Warriors Relay for Life.

We are also aware of how many people are affected by cancer and have lost a loved one to this horrible disease. We will be making shirts and adding the names of your loved ones who have survived and passed away.

The walk will take place May 4-5, 2013 at Walled Lake Central High School, 1600 E. Oakley Park Rd., Commerce Township, MI 48390, (248) 956-4700. The theme this year is Board games and we have chosen Apples to Apples. As well we need people to join our team and register to walk. Here is the link to register with us.

We also have a Facebook event that we have set up, please join it and feel free to share it on your walls and with your family and friends.

We are asking the community and all of our supporters to register to walk with us to help spread awareness of child abuse and to help find a cure for a disease that takes too many young lives. Dominick’s Warriors, THIS IS WHAT WE DO!
