Expect Construction Delays on Two Fenton Township Roads this Week

Work on Fenton Road should wrap up this week, but a project on Thompson Road will require an alternate route through Nov. 22.

If you thought road construction was winding down in Fenton Township, think again.

Fenton Road is expected to reopen by Friday, but flaggers will continue directing traffic through the construction zone from Bly Drive to Lakeside Landing today, according to Michigan Live, which cited a news release from the Genesee County Road Commission.

Once the resurfacing project is complete, restriping will begin, probably on Wednesday, weather permitting.

The county planned to close Thompson Road to all traffic at Indian Creek a quarter of a mile east of Linden Road to replace a culvert, according to the report. That work should be complete by Nov. 22.
