If you want to go to Fenton City Hall today, you won’t find the doors open. Fenton schools are also closed as Genesee County digs out from Winter Storm Hercules, which dumped up to 17 inches of snow in some areas.

Police, fire and public works departments will be staffed as usual, according to a notice on the city’s web site.

The city council work session scheduled for tonight has been postponed for a later date.

Also, waste pickup will be delayed for one day on all pickup days.

As of now, City Hall is planned to reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

There’s no word yet about whether Fenton schools will be open tomorrow with windchill indices forecast in the 45-degree-below-zero range.
