The National Weather Service's forecast for today is partly sunny with a high of 79 degrees. Tonight's forecast is mostly clear with a low of 56.

2. Filling the Tank

The lowest gas prices in Fenton Wednesday night were $4.02 per gallon, according to Mapquest Gas Prices. Stations offering this price were Speedway #8405 (discount available), 3245 Owen Rd.; Speedway #5509 (discount available), 3340 Owen Rd.; and Fenton Marathon, 402 W. Silver Lake Rd.

3. News

Fenton Area Public Schools' Education Foundation will present the 2012 Edward H. & Nancy E. Petruska Lifetime Achievement in Education Award, to retired teacher and athletic administrator Chuck Pilar, at the foundation's annual Black Tie Dinner on Thursday, the Flint Journal reports. The foundation also will present The State Bank Community Contribution to Education Award posthumously to Richard Rockman Sr., founder and publisher of the Tri-County Times.

4. Events

is holding an ongoing Loose Fitness class, Zumba Thursday, from 4:30-5:15 p.m. today, at 7355 Silver Lake Rd. in Linden. Zumba combines dance and exercise, featuring stretching, balance and movements that everyone can do at their own pace. The cost is $5, and participants should bring water and wear comfortable clothes and smooth-soled athletic shoes.

5. Looking Ahead

Fenton High School's varsity football team (1-1 record) will take on the Holly Bronchos (0-2) at 7 p.m. Friday, at the Fenton High School football field, 3200 W. Shiawassee St. in Fenton.
