Genesee County Animal Shelter to Extend Hours

The facility will stay open until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning March 6 to make it easier for residents to adopt dogs and cats.

The Genesee County Animal Control Department is making it easier for residents to adopt dogs and cats by extending its shelter hours.

The GCAC shelter, located G-4351 West Pasadena Avenue in Flint, will stay open until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning March 6.

The rest of its hours are as follows.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sunday, Holidays: Closed.
