This Thanksgiving, Help Patch Fight Hunger in Michigan

We want to give more to Gleaners Community Food Bank this holiday season. Shop our virtual food drive by Nov. 25 to join the fight.

The season of giving isn't over yet—so why should our Patch Fights Hunger virtual food drive end so soon?

As such, we've extended our drive supporting Gleaners Community Food Bank until Nov. 25.

On Thanksgiving, a day when every American family gives thanks for the things in their life, most of us will enjoy a feast with our families. But there are still many people who don't have enough to eat—including one out of every four children.

Gleaners distributes 100,000 meals each day to hungry people in southeast Michigan, and we want to help them with their goal by raising $10,000 through the Patch Fights Hunger online food drive. Ninety-four cents of every dollar you donate goes directly toward feeding hungry people in your own communities.

Click the shopping link above and select items from the virtual grocery shelves. When you check out, be sure to select a Patch from the drop down menu to ensure your donation is designated for that community.

This virtual food drive runs through Sunday, Nov. 25, and is the first for the Gleaners Community Food Bank. The 30 Michigan Patch sites are proud and honored to be their first partner.

Thanks for your donations and support.

The graph still didn't update... I wonder how much was actually donated from Ferndale...
