Only a handful of Genesee homes are still without power as southeast Michigan recovers from the worst Christmas Week ice storm in Consumers Energy’s 125-year history.

With the emergency over, The Flint Journal’s Meegan Holland offered some post-”icepocalypse” wit with twist on Jeff Foxworthy’s iconic “you might be a redneck if …” shtick.

You might be in a prolonged power outage, she writes, if you wear the same clothes every day and don’t care, you’re trying to figure out the “real expiration date on food. or begin plotting on how to survive off the grid – “if, god forbid, this ever happens again.”
