'Anything Goes'

Fenton Village Players group presents two matinees of Anything Goes with music and lyrics by Cole Porter at 2 p.m. Aug. 7 and 14.

A madcap farce set in the 1930s on an ocean liner bound for London from New York, Anything Goes boasts a brilliant script, delightfully witty songs, and huge dance numbers.

The S.S. American, sailing from New York to England, carries an unusual group of passengers, amongst them a gangster, a wealthy debutante and her mother, a nightclub singer, and a New York businessman and his stowaway assistant.

A group of sailors and passengers contribute to the antics, which include plenty of romance, zany disguises, and a rousing revival.
