Fenton's Annual Jinglefest

The annual Fenton Jinglefest features events all day Saturday, Dec. 3.

Shopping is part of the fun, with an all-day Holiday Shopping Spree at participating local businesses as well as All Day Christmas in Dibbleville at Dibbleville businesses.

At 10 a.m., tree decorating takes place in Bush Park.

Fenton Chamber will be on the corner of Jingle Bell Walk Punch Card Tent at Leroy and Shiawassee from noon-7 p.m.

Also, make sure you stop by early at the Fenton United Methodist Church's cookie walk; it runs from 10 a.m. until the cookies are gone. Other events at the church include kids' activities and entertainment from noon-4 p.m., lunch from noon-2 p.m. and a concert by Fenton's Sweet Adelines from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Fenton Community & Cultural Center is the site of several events beginning at noon, including a performance by the Fenton Community orchestra until 1 p.m., cookie decorating through 4 p.m., Santa Letters until 3 p.m., hot chocolate being served through 4 p.m. and story time from noon to 4 p.m. (there's a story every 30 minutes).

Additional events at the center include:

  • Fenton Jazz Band performance from 1-2 p.m.
  • Rocking Christmas Band Joyful Noise from 2-3 p.m.
  • Jingle Jog registration from 3:45-4:45 p.m.
  • S'mores outside the front of the center from 4-9 p.m.
  • Popcorn by the fire from 5-7 p.m. outside the front of the center

Outside on Leroy Street, you'll find several goings on including Santa Paws pictures from noon to 4 p.m., concessions on from noon-4 p.m., ice sculpture carving from 1-4 p.m., the 5 p.m. Jingle Jog, the Mott Steel Drum Band on the corner of Leroy and Shiawassee from 1:30-5:30 p.m., and a lighted parade on the street at 6 p.m., followed by a lighting of the gazebo with Santa at City Hall Gazebo.

After the gazebo's been lit, enjoy pictures with Santa and a performance by Guy Louis, Chautauqua Express at the Fenton Community Center until 9 p.m.
