The National Weather Service's forecast for today is for high of 85 degrees, with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms. Tonight's forecast is for a low of 57, with thunderstorms likely at 70 percent.

The lowest gas prices in Fenton on Wednesday evening were $3.89 per gallon, according to Mapquest Gas Prices. 3. News

Fenton City Council has set a public hearing for its Sept. 10 meeting, so people can voice their opinions on whether chicken keeping should be allowed in the city, the Tri-County Times reports. There is a proposed ordinance that would allow chickens, with some restrictions.

4. Events

New talents, and an audience, are invited to at Gatsby Grind, 14330 N. Fenton Rd., in Fenton, at 6 p.m. today. Amps will be provided, and tonight's live event features Jenna Marx and Robert Phoenix, from Nver knows Best.

5. Looking Ahead

The Fenton Village Players will perform "Escanaba in Love"  on Sept. 6-9 and 13-16, at 14197 Torrey Rd. in Fenton. It's Jeff Daniels' eleventh play, featuring the first female visitor to the Soady men's deer camp -- Albert Soady Jr.'s impromptu bride, Big Betty Balou.
