1. Weather

The National Weather Service reports a high of 100 degrees could occur today. Tonight's forecast is a low of 72 with a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms.


2. Filling the Tank

Mapquest lists the least expensive gas in Fenton on Thursday night at $3.49 per gallon, at Speedway #8405, 3245 Owen Rd.; Sunoco, 3325 Owen Rd.; Speedway #5509, 3340 Owen Rd.; and the Owen Road BP Food Shop, 3238 Owen Rd.


3. News for You

Today's Fenton Patch has photos and a story about the Concert in the Park on Thursday. This week's free concert featured Cal Roberts, formerly of The Platters, and Wayne Tierney, who specializes in Roy Orbison music. You can catch another concert next Thursday, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Fenton Gazebo near Fenton City Hall.

4. Events

Seniors can stay cool today with at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center, 150 S. Leroy St., Fenton. Activities include lunch for $4, dancing for $2, bingo for $1 and bunco for $1. It's from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. -- seniors can stay for the entire day or part of it.


5. Looking Ahead


Get ready for some ropin' and ridin' -- the Gaines Rodeo is coming up on July 20 and July 21, at the Lions Pine Hill Park, 12135 Ray Rd. in Gaines. Tickets are $9 per adult and $5 for children 5-12, and the gates open at 5 p.m. Free parking.
