‘Hop’ on This: Fenton Microbrewery Now Distributing its Craft

You can now enjoy your favorite local brews at several local restaurants.

Distribution of popular craft brews from Fenton Winery & Brewery has begun.  

The first of many shipments of kegs were picked up from their new production facility at 1370 N. Long Lake Road on Oct. 15.

Their distributor, Rave Associates, based in Ann Arbor delivered fresh made Fenton beer right away to several local restaurants including Beale Street Smokehouse BBQ, Fenton Hotel and the Palate of Milford.

Microbrewery owners Matt and Ginny Sherrow worked for more than a year installing their new 7-barrel microbrewery system. It can produce up to 217 gallons of beer at a time with Matt, the head brewer, at its helm.

He has more than 40 recipes in his repertoire that he has been crafting and brewing on their still active one-half barrel brewery system located in the microbrewery’s lounge at 1545 N. Leroy Street in Fenton.  The favorites are now out on trucks for delivery, including their Staggering Bull Imperial Nut Brown Ale and Eminent Double IPA.

The new production facility is open to the public from noon to 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. A carry-out selection of wine and beer is available as well as grains, hops, beer and wine kits and supplies for homebrewers.
