New Fenton Consignment Shop to Open in Former ReSale 360 Space

Former ReSale 360 employee will run Twice New Consignments.

A new consignment shop will open June 11 in the former space on Silver Lake Road.

Tanya Bristol and her husband Sebastian have been busy preparing Twice New Consignments after signing a lease for the location last week.

Bristol worked at ReSale 360 for more than two years.

The disputes arose because consignment shop owners and consignors, who bring in items they want to sell, usually split the proceeds from their item sales 50/50 with the store. Sebastian said they lost a few hundreds dollars in the situation as well. The .

Bristol said she had planned to buy ReSale 360 before the deal fell through and then quit working at the store at the beginning of March when she realized the store was going under.

"I knew it was not going to be good. I didn't want any part of it," she said of money being owed to the consignors. "It was terrible to watch."

The new store will not be connected in any way to ReSale 360.

Bristol said there will be a new software program, new colors and new layouts. The couple has had the place painted and has taken out a couple walls to open up the space. They plan to add a small book nook and eventually carry high-end, upscale items.

"Everything will be different," Bristol said.

She said she really enjoys the business and likes to interact with the customers and the consignors and has met a lot of people.

"She can't go to the grocery store without talking to four people," Sebastian said.

Bristol said her husband has a solid job and they look for the store to be their "retirement fund."

"I know money can be made," she said. "I don't want to go back to working for someone else in a big corporation."

She said the store may have to fight off the negative reaction of what happened with ReSale 360, but she believes the store will be successful. Bristol said she has already talked to consignors that were owed large amounts of money and already has items in the store from one of them.

"They know me, they trust me and they are not holding me responsible," Bristol said.

The store will begin accepting consignments from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. June 4 to 9. All consignments before June 25 with receive a 60/40 percent split. The store will fully open for consignments and sales on June 11. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon until 5 p.m. Sunday.
