Pipsqueak Boutique Offers Upscale Resale for Children

Shop recently made room for spring fashion.

From the charming building to the bright and beautiful displays, is far from an ordinary children’s consignment store. Owner Kerry Goodman purchased Pipsqueak Boutique five years ago with the dream of offering high quality and sought-after styles and brands at affordable prices.

After outgrowing her space in nearby Linden, the beautiful space she occupies at 208 N. Adelaide Street in Fenton became available. Goodman says she fell in love with the building and “immediately could envision how the store would look."

Two years later, she has a steady stream of returning customers who drop off consignments regularly. Like other consignment stores, customers bring items in and get paid when they sell.

“Everything is automated, so as soon as an item sells, it gets credited to the customer’s account,” said Goodman. “Customers are happy that they can come and collect their profits from sales easily.”

Goodman is growing her new boutique clothing line as well, and offers designer brands such as Girlfriends by Anita G., Rock Star Baby, and Mooncakes, to name a few. She also carries items that are handmade locally.

“Many of the brands I choose are made of durable, high quality fabrics.  Vibrant colors and patterns are in, and there are so many beautiful things available now,” she said.

In fact, many of her customers who sell consignment in her shop turn around and spend their profits on her new clothing.

Goodman has just finished moving all of the winter stock out to make room for l spring fashions.  Additionally, she offers accessories such as hair bows, hats, socks and shoes. Clothing from newborn though size 16 for both boys and girls are offered in the store.

She loves being located in Fenton.

“It is central to US-23, and if you are passing through town, you’ll pass right by my store,” she said.  “I am excited about the city plans and what the future holds in Fenton.”
