On the Road with Donna

Daily travels through Linden, Clare, ladies night and more.

Hello everyone!

This weekend was such a beautiful sun filled time that we decided to enjoy it with Ladies night in Linden on Friday night. What a fabulous time. This was the third year and two of my daughters were out of town at their annual anime convention (see about that) and my other daughter Jamie decided to come on down with her biological mom (you will find out I have MANY children)and meet me. I was so excited I finished up my massages for the day and ran home to change and return to town. In my haste I never charged my phone and being a droid it died (as usual).Too say the least I ran all over town for three hours and seen many friends but never found my Jamie. But thankfully she knows how it can be. My friend and co worker Denise showed up at Thimbelberrys that night while I was admiring everything in the boutique and we munched our way through the store.Once outside we stood on the street corner and visited with more friends before entering the toy store and playing with everything in site. The large yellow rubber duckie is finding its way into the hot tub at Genesys this week;). Sweet dees introduced there opening of a full hair salon and tea room coming in December. We stopped into Serendipity several times to check out the wine bar, massage rooms, and have our photos taken. We finally called it a night and headed home.

Saturday , my hubby and I jumped into the truck and headed to our favorite place- Jays Sporting Goods in Clare, Michigan. The home of the best selection (and one year layaway) of pistols and rifles a person could imagine. I- being raised on a farm have had a rifle since preteen age and have took great pride in the medals I have received for target shooting. Our family also have taken the cpl course and look forward to the class we set up for the rest of our extended family and friends to be part of on December 10th (if interested just get ahold of me for details). Anyway we had a great day there and at the surplus store next to it. As we were leaving we noticed at the other side of the parking lot hundreds of PUPPIES! Yes- every variety you could imagine were brought in for sale and we enjoyed the wags and kisses and puppy smells for the next couple hours. After that we hit Ponderosa and enjoyed there all home made buffet before returning home to enjoy the remainder of our day together on the range.

Sunday, I traveled to RECEIVE a massage because of a auto accident I was in the end of last month. A young guy decided I was pulling away from a red light on the Thompson road ramp and hit me in the rear end. All I can say is OUCH and my poor car. But no serious injuries thankfully. After my wonderful rub down I stopped at the Treasure Chest shop on Thompson Road and visited with the wonderful owners and went through the newest treasures they were putting in the store. They are expanding and I can hardly wait to see everything. That sums up the weekend pretty much and I just wanted to share how spontaneous my life is and how you never know where I will be or what I will be doing which makes for a wonderful versatile life.

I look forward to sharing many things with you from all aspects and hope you enjoy your travels with me. Until next time- take care.D
