On The Road With Donna- Fall Festivities, Crime and Family

Last night I received some very disturbing news. A delivery person for a local sandwich shop was robbed behind Merchants.

Hello everyone. Yes, I have been way from this laptop of mine being busy as usual.

Last night I received some very disturbing news. A delivery person for a local sandwich shop was robbed behind Merchants. His gold bracelet from his grandfather was stolen. The robber wore a bandanna over his face and had asked for his delivering to be brought behind Merchants. I was relieved to hear the delivery person was safe and unharmed. I'm still extremely upset about this happening. Crime rate has climbed and it has been increasing in local communities too. Please be aware of all your surroundings. Think before you approach an area off the beaten track and never be alone in a place you are unfamiliar about.

Take a self defense course of your choice. My family have taken personal self protection and also have cpl which unfortunately have been useful in our travels. No where is safe as what you think it may be. Check the offenders list for your area , keep up to date on wanted people being sought in your area. If you are a victim of robbery make sure YOU take the steps to check pawn shops and precious metals buyers. Scrap yards probably have your pipes and converters if you have come home to a empty house and missing parts from your vehicle.

Be cautious and safe. Make sure you lock your homes and vehicles. Do not post on websites where your going because there are people that know how to hack through private settings to read everything you post. You know this cute family stickers people put on the back of the vehicles? Not smart. You have a honor roll bumper sticker , names of your kids, what sport they play, how many siblings and pets.....Does not take a genius to figure out the area you live, the school they go too, the teams they are on.Please be aware of safety.Working with everyone I have over the years I have seen many things and a lot of it can be stopped with common sense and awareness.

Let us all think of what we can do to ensure are surroundings are safe. Festivities in the area are always fun in October with apple orchards, cider, hay rides, haunted houses, Halloween parties and events not to mention trick or treat. Holly is known for the haunted happenings in the downtown sector of antique stores. I recommend main Street antiques. After a recent paranormal investigation write up I was intrigued. The people are fabulous there and were recently on paranormal witness "lady on the stairs". Another great place is Johnnys pizza in Fenton when they have a group of readers and initiatives come in.
