Downed Line Causes Power Outage in Fenton Township

Power was restored by 4 p.m.

More than 1,500 Consumers customers in Fenton Township were without electricity for a couple hours Tuesday as a downed lined tripped a substation causing a power outage.

Consumers spokeswoman Debra Dodd said crews were notified of the outage around 1:15 p.m. and that most customers were restored by 4 p.m.

The downed line was near Tinsman and Petts Roads. Businesses, homes and traffic lights in the area were without power for most of the afternoon.
