The Fenton Art Walk received recently a boost as Fenton Patch has teamed with the Fenton Downtown Development Authority  to sponsor the event, which organizers hope will become an annual favorite.

Visitors will be able to come to a booth in downtown Fenton and receive an artist passport, which will include instructions and artist and merchant information. People then can visit participating businesses to observe the art, meet the artists and explore what each store has to offer. Visitors also will be able to win and Fenton Patch prizes.

"We are very excited to partner with Fenton Patch on the Fenton Art Walk," Burg said. "They are a great match for this project in particular as Fenton Patch is all about community, and so is the Art Walk."

Terry Brancheau, owner of the in Fenton, is glad to have a new art event in town.

"We are absolutely excited," she said. "We need more artistic events besides just galleries."

Brancheau said the Edge Gallery will have three artists working with watercolors in the store during the Art Walk.

"This will kind of kick off the summer events," Brancheau said. "Concentrating on arts for the event is an added bonus to the music and the Farmers Market."

Stayed tuned to Fenton Patch in the days leading up to the Art Walk as we will feature several participating artists in our Faces of the Fenton Art Walk series.
