Fenton Teens Appear on 'Good Morning America'

Members of the G.R.A.Y.T. Leviathons appear with their robot in the ABC morning show's "Your Three Words" segment.

Fenton teenagers Rose Joynt, Adam Ezell, Ryan Sawle and Alex Abfelter received a nice surprise Saturday morning.

They appeared on Good Morning America.

The four are teammates on the Fenton-based G.R.A.Y.T. (Genesee Robotic Area Youth Team) Leviathons (also known as Team 1322) and the squad sent in a short clip to the show, which has a segment called "Your Three Words." The segment shows people all across the country describing their week by holding up signs with three words.

The Fenton teens had three signs reading "1322's, finished, robot" and then showed the robot they had designed.

"Seven weeks ago, we were goofing around and made a video," said coach Kim Weber of Fenton. "We forgot all about it. Saturday morning, as I was watching it, they showed our little video!"
