How to Help Fenton Area Residents Affected by Recent Tornadoes

Here are some ways you can help area residents who were affected by the tornadoes that hit the Fenton Township area on Tuesday night.

  • The Fenton Township Fire Department is asking volunteers to join together at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 1 at the corners of Thompson and Jennings Roads to assist families impacted by the tornados. Volunteers are asked to check in with volunteers stationed near the fire trucks to assist in directing people to residents requesting assistance. Residents are asked to also make requests for assistance by calling the Fenton Township Hall 810.629.1537 or by registering at the fire trucks.
  • A local businessman is also raising money for residents Kelly Smith and her husband Marty. Kelly, Marty and their two dogs survived the tornado without injury but their home of 20+ years was completely lost. Donations of any amount are appreciated. You can find full details here.
