Last Chance: Lake Fenton Volunteer Hall of Fame Nominees

Applications are due by Thursday.

Do you know someone in the Lake Fenton school district who has volunteered their time and belongs in the hall of fame?

This is your shot to nominate them, but applications are due by 3 p.m. Thursday.

Purpose:

  • Recognize people who have distinguished themselves as volunteers over the course of many years for the and activities related to the school district.

Criteria:

  • Nominees can be anyone who has served the Lake Fenton Schools in any capacity over an extended length of time. They may have spent a significant amount of time in a singular activity of several different activities. Satellite activities such as Little League, Scouting, A.Y.S.O. soccer,etc., will be included in the decision making, since the school benefits directly from these programs though they are not sponsored by the school. Employees may also be included with consideration given to the many hours to the school system beyond working hours.

Selection Committee:
The committee will represent a cross section of the Lake Fenton Community with suggested representatives from:
• Board of Education
• Boosters
• Staff
• Alumni
• PTA
• Retirees with more than 20 years in the community
Awards:
• Up to three awards will be presented each year.
It Shall Consist of:
• A plaque and citation for the individual.
• A picture of the individual to be displayed in the school with the citation.
• His/Her name as a Lake Fenton Community Hall of Fame member on a wall at Lake Fenton High School that will be displayed for all time.

Requests for nominations will be closed by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012. Selection of Hall of Fame members will be made by mid April to provide adequate time to prepare the award.
