Meet the Fenton Freedom Festival Queen

Fenton junior Ann Wujciak was crowned Thursday at the Fenton Gazebo.

Fenton junior Ann Wujciak wore the Fenton Freedom Festival crown for the first time Thursday evening.

Last year's queen, Jessica DuPont, awarded her with the honor.

Here are her answers to a few questions from Fenton Patch:

Name: Ann Wujciak

Age:16

High school: Fenton High School

Career goals: "I want to be an architect or an engineer. I am looking at smaller schools for college. I want to be on the swim team as well."

What does being Fenton Freedom Festival Queen mean to you? "I am really excited to represent my community. I've lived here my whole life and as a little girl looked up to the queen in the parade. Now I get to be some other little girl's excitement."

Why are you a good person to represent Fenton? "I am multitalented, and I think a lot of good leaders are. They are good at more than one thing. Good leaders are good at academics, they are good socially and are well-rounded. I've tried to encompass those things in my life."

Favorite Fourth of July BBQ food? "Ribs."

Favorite Freedom Festival Activity? "Fireworks. I love to go out on the lake and watch them."

What celebrity would you most like to meet: "Swimmer Natalie Coughlin. She's a good swimmer, but she's also a photographer and a good cook."
