Just days after the body of Dominick Calhoun's body was found, ConnectMidMichigan conducted a full interview with Corrine Baker. They recently posted those videos, which are graphic in nature, on YouTube.

Corrine Baker, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the beating death of her son, gave her side of the story to ConnectMidMichigan.com just days after his body was found in April of 2010.

After the former Tyrone Township woman entered the guilty plea Tuesday, ConnectMidMichigan.com released the full video footage of those interviews.

Baker's son, Dominick, 4, was found dead in an Argentine apartment in April of 2010 and police said the boy had been badly beaten.

"It puts Corrine Baker where she belongs which is in prison for a substantial number of years," Prosecutor David Leyton said, according to the ConnectMidMichigan article. "The message is we do not tolerate child abuse and we are going to make sure Dominick did not die in vain."

The Flint Journal reported relatives of Dominick were glad to hear the guilty plea earlier this week.

"We were all in the courtroom,"  said the boy's grandfather Rick Calhoun of Linden, according to the article. "She had to admit to what was going on. She basically allowed this to go on and did nothing about it."

The Livingston Daily Press & Argus reported Baker, 26, will serve 13 to 30 years in prison. She will be sentenced Oct. 24.

The Tri-County Times reported that Baker has agreed to testify against her co-defendant and former boyfriend Brandon Hayes, who has been charged with murder, torture, child abuse and drug charges. The trial is set to begin Sept. 7.

“The whole theme with Corrine was ‘too little, too late’ on behalf of Dominick,” said Argentine Township Police Chief Daniel Allen, according to the Tri-County Times article.
