What's Open and Closed This Fourth of July

Not going out of town this Independence Day? Here's what will be closed around Fenton.

The Fourth of July is Monday, and while most workplaces are closed and the barbecues are fired up, you still may need to get out and around Fenton. Here's what you need to know about what's open and closed.

Area offices

  • City of Fenton: City business will have to wait until Tuesday as will be closed Monday.
  • : Township business will have to wait until Wednesday as the Township offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
  • Mail: The U.S. Postal Service will not have any post offices open on the Fourth of July, nor will there be any mail delivery or pickup.
  • Trash collection: Trash collection will be one day late in both the city of Fenton and Fenton Township since the Fourth of July occurs on a weekday.
  • Emergency: Call 911 for police or fire emergencies. For any nonemergency, call the at 810-629-5311, the at 810-629-8595, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office at 810-257-3422 or the at 810-629-1911.
