Voters in the Fenton school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide an $11 million bond issue to finance school safety an security improvements, technology upgrades, and equipment and infrastructure upgrades.
Fenton school district voters have approved an $11 million bond issue to fund school safety and security improvements, technology upgrades, improving athletic field and parking lots, and other equipment and infrastructure upgrades.
In Genesee County, the results were:
Yes: 1,555 votes, or 62 percent

In Oakland County, the results were:

Yes: 1,664 votes, or 61 percent
No: 1,064 votes or 39 percent
A simple majority was needed for passage.
