Fenton Fenton ArtWalk Musician Mike Kassel to Appear at the A.J. Phillips Fenton Historical Museum

Flint native Mike Kassel has been playing stringed instruments for over thirty years, concentrating of late on tenor and baritone ukulele. A college history lecturer and administrator by day and proud father of twins, Mike loves playing out, usually as a solo act. Mike is currently in the studio recording an album slated to be released later this year. A mix of pop, jazz, gospel, roots music and funk, Mike’s ten-song project draws from a lifetime of diverse musical influences from Carlos Santana to Al Jarreau. As different as these artists are, Mike brings it all together in a cohesive collection that celebrates the miraculous cycle of life. While ukulele is the main instrument, the album is fully orchestrated with guitar, bass, drums, and even a few cuts featuring saxophone and the Hammond B3 organ!  For more information visit www.MikeKasselMusic.com or like Mike’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MikeKasselMusic.
