Freddy and Tonya Have Breakfast at Big Boy

Freddy Spaghetti and Tonya Lasagna (mystery diners who are real Fenton residents) review area restaurants.

Our usual Sunday breakfast after church consists of waiting in line at Bob Evans.

Today we decided to check out Big Boy. We were seated immediately.

Tonya decided to be bold and try the new holiday pumpkin nut spice pancakes and I opted for the fantastic breakfast bar.

Tonya loved her pancakes! Very nutty she said, and she liked them. My breakfast bar was of course the best! You can order eggs any way you want from the kitchen along with fresh toast if you desire. I opted for the scrambled eggs. I also had some nice sausage links, a biscuit with a little bit of gravy, and my favorite Sunday addition, the corned beef hash. In my opinion, all very good for breakfast bar fare. You can also partake in the fruit bar if you desire. We always supplement our Sunday breakfasts with coffee. Big Boy definitely keeps your coffee cup filled. Trust me, you will not run out.

The Fenton Big Boy, a longtime favorite run by Victor and daughter Rudy, always hits the mark with us, especially for breakfast. Their extensive menu has many long time favorites such as the famous Big Boy sandwich, the Slim Jim and the famous onion rings. Oops, scratch that last comment. Big Boy thought it would be a great idea use what seems like frozen onion rings instead of their crunchy, fresh battered rings. Can we say “Freddy is unhappy”?! Hopefully they will soon realize that they need to go back to the recipe that made them famous.

Other favorite breakfast selections are the potato pancakes just like grandma made, the Belgian waffle and the build your own Blockbuster breakfast.

I am sure we will be back to check out the Big Boy dinner fare soon. We look forward to our next visit to the Fenton Big Boy.
