Laying On The Old Wooden Screen Door

Not a smidge of temperature! Creative visualization.

This is the most unusual thought I have ever put in writing. It all began with me flat on my back in bed, sick to pieces and at the same time worrying work piled on top of me. Ugh.

I tried to creatively envision floating on a calm ocean, just off the shores of a beautiful island..I trailed my fingers in the water and tried to let my troubles run out of me...surely they were just a drop of water in the sea of peoples needs.

Of course I was soon surrounded by sharks and the thought of a sudden hurricane or tsunami...yikes...I paddled back to the beach, stood up and started pacing.

Remember this is just a feverish vision and not an episode of Survivor.

I think of myself as a perfectly well person who has been blanketed by an illusion of illness. Right..it was a pretty real illusion and all the while, work is piling up, smothering me.

I returned myself to my vision, this time, laying on an old wooden screen door. If I could just sift myself and remove the illness leaving the wellness and my strength..... Well, why not? OK, eyes closed and screen door shaking..just like sifting flour or reverse panning for gold, lifting up the whole door through me, further and further taking all the illness and removing all barriers to wellness. As the screen hovered over me, on top of it was everything I wanted to be rid of and under it was a strong, healthy, happy me.

I drifted off to sleep and woke up feeling really really good.

Hey, I love that door...I really do!

The next time your heart is burdened with worries, work has you bogged down or illness has you covered up...maybe a little rest on the screen door will lift it off.

If you don't have an old door to lay on...they are pretty common. I bet they even sell them on Dream Amazon. It's an investment in the future.

Be well.

Gratefully,

Mary
